School and tour group packages available for up to 50 people*

Kowhai has been offering horse riding packages for school and tour groups for well over 40 years, and has over 90 well schooled horses and ponies available.

Group packages are fully supervised fun and educational.

LOCAL NEW ZEALAND SCHOOL GROUPS.
We offer a full day package that includes a morning lesson and afternoon trek.
Upon arrival the students will help with grooming & saddling of the horses. The lesson will include the correct way to mount the horse, correct position and basic control etc.
Experienced riders will be taken forward in their riding.
Arrival time is 10am and the departure time is 2pm to fit in with the school day.
We can take up to 40 students.
Students need to bring a cut lunch, suitable footwear and warm clothing.
All students are paired so one will lead the horse & one will ride, swapping often. This greatly improves the safety and keeps the price down while building confidence until the students are able to safety control their horse.

The cost for the full day ride is $40 per student riding paired.
A horse each option is also available for experienced riders, the cost is $60 per student.

TOUR GROUPS
We offer a 3 hour package that includes a short lesson then a guided farm trek.
The lesson will include the correct way to mount the horse, correct position and basic control etc.
Experienced riders will be taken forward in their riding.
Arrival times of 10am or 2pm Monday to Friday.
For large groups of over 20 people all riding is paired for safety so one person will lead the horse and one will ride.

Smaller groups can choose either to be paired or take the horse each option.

The cost for the half day package is $45 each person riding paired.
Or $75 horse each option. (only available for groups of under 20 pax)

Minimum number for group bookings is 8 people, maximum depends on the group age & ability.
Group bookings are available Monday to Friday outside NZ School Holiday time.
(we run residential courses every weekend and all School Holidays)
Kowhai is a Qualmark Endorsed Visitor Activity.
RAMS and safety plans available upon request.
Price is NZ$ and includes GST.
